The Enchanted Pen

The pen remembers what the world forgets.

After the death of his sharp-witted Uncle Edem, struggling novelist Daniel Amegashie inherits a wooden box, twelve notebooks filled with deliberate omissions—and a fountain pen that contains no ink but writes anyway.

The message engraved on its nib is impossible: You have written this before.

At first, the pen appears to offer Daniel what every blocked writer wants. Then the sentences begin changing more than his manuscript. Coincidences rearrange themselves. Photographs disagree with memory. A life can be rescued by rewriting a Thursday—but reality keeps an account of every correction.

To save the people he loves, Daniel must decide whether a better story is worth the life the original world will lose.

When language changes reality

The Enchanted Pen explores grief, authorship, inheritance and the moral danger of correcting a world without knowing who will pay for the revision.
