About the imprint

Little Lagoon Press is the children’s imprint of Victor Kwawukume Publishing. Founded by Ghanaian-Canadian author and award-winning journalist Victor Kwawukume, it draws on Anlo-Ewe and wider Ghanaian heritage while speaking to contemporary children at home and across the diaspora.

Our aim is simple: to make beautiful, useful books in which cultural detail is not decoration, language is treated with respect and African childhood is allowed to be adventurous, funny, thoughtful and fully alive.
