Sometimes courage moves backward. At Keta Lagoon, Elikem discovers how the story of the Anlo-Ewe journey from Notsie can help her face the water with Tanti Afi beside her.
Imaginative early chapter book · Ages 7–9
When missing objects return to the wrong homes, Nia, Ben and Sami discover a tiny planet with a mixed-up lost-property system. Friendship, observation and honesty help them set things right.

Ewe–English first words · Ages 0–3
An illustrated first-words approach to greetings, family, numbers and familiar everyday experiences.
Native-speaker and linguist review is required before print production.
Structured early reading · Kindergarten–Grade 2
A sequenced set of fifteen phonics-focused stories with recurring children and familiar family settings.
Illustrations, learning validation and production remain ahead.
Symbol learning and colouring · Ages 4–8
Eighteen Ghanaian Adinkra symbols introduce meanings through creative, child-friendly activities.

Activity workbook · Ages 4–8
Mazes, counting, word searches, matching and heritage-inspired discoveries make learning an invitation to explore.

At Keta Lagoon, Eyram hears a strange three-beat knock and turns observation and careful evidence-gathering into a compelling investigation.
A 47-chapter manuscript and preparation package exist. Final production proof, cover and release approval are pending.
Long-form Keta Lagoon mystery · Reader age to be confirmed
Sena discovers an impossible mango in her schoolbag and follows a mystery connecting community memory, evidence and an old forbidden tree.
A substantial manuscript exists. Length, reader positioning and publication format remain under review.

Our portfolio offers culturally grounded reading and learning alongside universal adventures and clearly labelled Christian materials. We welcome conversations with classrooms, libraries, churches, Sunday schools, faith-based schools, other children’s groups and cultural organisations; suitability varies by title and age group.
About the imprint
Little Lagoon Press is the children’s imprint of Victor Kwawukume Publishing. Founded by Ghanaian-Canadian author and award-winning journalist Victor Kwawukume, it draws on Anlo-Ewe and wider Ghanaian heritage while speaking to contemporary children at home and across the diaspora.
Our aim is simple: to make beautiful, useful books in which cultural detail is not decoration, language is treated with respect and African childhood is allowed to be adventurous, funny, thoughtful and fully alive.
